It is often assumed that Dutch people (from the Netherlands) don’t need information in Dutch, because they will understand English and/or German. While this is partly true, many Dutch travellers prefer information in their native language. Not only is it easier for them to understand, it is also something that makes them feel welcome. So if you have many Dutch guests and/or would like to attract more people from the Netherlands to your destination, I would highly recommend making sure that your most important information is available to them in Dutch.

Before I became a travel writer, I had been working as a freelance translator and copywriter for over 10 years. Examples of texts I have written and translated in the past are website pages and posts, newsletters, brochures, magazine articles and tour descriptions. Although travel writing is now my fulltime job, I still take on translation and copywriting jobs, especially if they are about a destination that I know and love.

If this is you, it would make me so happy to help you reach even more guests! Let me know what you need and I would be happy to provide you with a quote.

To ensure optimum quality, I only translate into and write in my native language: Dutch (for the Netherlands). Most translations I do are from English or German. I studied Slavonic Linguistics and can also translate from Czech, Bulgarian and Russian.
